The MSM is Befuddled

They don't get it, how can it be that the new Newsweek Poll  is within the margin of error at 44% to 41% in favor of ObamaThe only explanation is that it must be a sample error.

These people and the politicians that they support just don't understand the normal American. They don't understand that we don't identify with comments like "you need to make sure your children learn Spanish", or the guns and God comment etc.  This is what they think of us.

When McCain is taking the oath of office in January, the MSM and Democrats are just going to be looking at each other in disbelief, wondering what happened?  Elitism happened and will continue to happen until they get a clue. Unlikely.

Obama's Kindergarten Diplomacy

Jim Geraghty
has a good summation of Obama's weak kneed diplomacy toward Iran.

Even my 6 year old gets it. Why can't Obama?

Here's Barry's take on the situation in Iran today...

"We have to have a kind of aggressive diplomacy which unfortunately has been absent over the last several years," Obama told CNN.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we have just about every type of sanction from the UN, EU, and US possible.  If that's the case, we should be seeing the nukes and the missile going off line any minute now.

Oh wait, the sanctions haven't worked. That's why they fired a missile that could hit Israel today and they continue to enrich uranium. But don't worry, when Barry gets elected, the whole world will hold hands and sing a song.  We'll all learn Spanish and forget that America is a sovereign nation and just be...well...world citizens.

I"M SOOOOO EXCITED!

What a moron.

Is Nancy Pelosi A Bumbling Idiot?

Either she's an idiot about how the economy works or she thinks we don't know.  Either way, this woman has just become the biggest idiot in the United States.  She wants to have her cake and eat it too.  What's wrong with this lady?

Just a few weeks ago Pelosi said that "we can't drill our way out of this".  That means that increasing supply won't help.  And most of the Democrats have said all we really need to do is just sit at home, don't g anywhere, turn down the a/c and sweat, basically...don't consume.  End result, cripple the economy.  Those of us born and raised in the 70's and early 80's remember what that did to our families business' and our parent's sanity at the as station.  What's wrong with these people.

Well, fast forward a couple of weeks to yesterday.  Madam Pelosi is now asking the President to release oil from the strategic reserve to help pump up the American supply.  Wait a minute, I thought drilling and increasing supply wasn't going to help us get out of this "energy crisis".  I wonder how bad it hurt her to say this?  It had to be killing her as she had the letter typed up and sent to the President.

Update - This story smacks of political posturing of the worst kind.  On the same day that the Democrat controlled Congress received the lowest approval rating in history, Rasmussen has them at 9%, she tries to blame the obstructionist, non-supply side economics of the Democrats that has crippled this country for the last 30 years on George Bush.  This has to be one of the most audacious and grossly negligent moves of the Dims since the took control last January.  If this were the military, they would tried for dereliction of duty.  Something to keep in mind for November.

Service To America!

Here's a video I found while looking over the main blog page.  I like it.  It could be seen as a celebration of McCain, but most people are viewing it as a celebration of service.

I would go so far as to say it chalenges us to work for our country and not complain about it, which is what most people on the left see as service.  Sorry folks discorse for the sake of dicorse is not service.  Get off your butts, quit complaining, get a job, join the military, help out a church, go to a soup kitchen, do something, but don't just complain and think that's helping.  It's Not!

Lefties Are Questioning Obama?

Uh Oh.  It looks like we have a little problem with the perception of Obama being "a different kind of politician".  Even the lefties are starting to see the contradictions between the Iowa caucuses and now.  They're are starting to see that Mr. Obama is just another politician, swaying in the wind and trying to pander to more than just his base.  He seems to be breaking from his principles, if he had any principles to begin with.  I'm starting to wonder.

At least McCain has been consistent.  Though we on the right may not always like the medicine he offers, we appreciate his principled unwavering views.

Now even some of the most liberal commentators at the New York Times, the official paper of the Democratic Party and of the Obama campaign, are growing weary of him.

At this point, they can either make or break us...

At this point, they either make or break us, the oil speculators and the Democrats that is.  Both groups unwittingly rely on each other.
You see, the higher the prices the more Democrats can say that the profits are obscene and they can play on peoples fears and use the class warfare tactic that comes with it.  So the Dims rely on the speculators to keep raising prices, it actually helps their cause.

The speculators on the other hand rely on the Democrats to continue their obstructionist ways.  To do any thing besides drilling means the supply remains low for now and the foreseeable future.  This makes the speculator feel the need to raise the price based on future supply.

Did the Democrats take Macro or even Micro Economics in college?  If so, they must have slept through the supply side section, oh wait, that's what the whole semester is pretty much based on.  They must have cutting classes and protesting something instead that semester.

Check this article out, it outlines the problem pretty well actually.

The Purpose For The Surge.

Wasn't the purpose of the surge to create an environment where the government and the military could stand on thier own?  Well, with almost all of the bench marks for the government being met, it looks like Prime Minister Maliki is looking at his security situation and liking what he sees there too.  While speaking to officials in the United Arab Emerates, Maliki had this to say...

"Our hopes were restricted on improving the security situation, and thank God we succeed in spreading security and direct strong blows to the al-Qaeda and lawbreakers," Maliki told senior officials in the Emirates.

I think his confidence is definately growing, but he should remain cautious and remember that anything premature is ill advised. It also shows that the surge was definately what the doctor ordered for stability and an honorable withdrawl of our troops from Iraq. Or was it something the Senator ordered?  Senator McCain that is.

Just think, if Obama and he cut and runners had it thier way, we probably wouldn't be talking about when we're gonna leave with honor. We'd probably be trying to figure out how to deploy our troops back over there to help clean up the aftermath of a genocidal civil war.

Good Stuff From Across the Pond

I know they're not a lefty paper in relation to the rest of the English papers, but they are pretty non-partial. The Times Online seems to think that we're actualy winning this war on terrorism.  Good stuff from across the pond.  Too bad our MSM and the Dims, especialy thier Presidential nominee, don't agree.  See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Even Some Ministers Don't Get It.

It's sad that some ministers don't even get the fact that people want and have the freedom to express thier religion any way they see fit. This is an excerpt of an article I found over at CNN's website about South Carolina's plans to offer Christians a chance to showcase thier faith.

The Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, said Bauer's willingness to pay the deposit "more deeply confirms this is a government-sponsored program."

"I don't believe that these license plates will ever be on any car in South Carolina, because I think our Constitutional claim is so strong," Lynn said.

You know it's getting bad when even so called spiritual leaders are attempting to take or liberties from us. Read the whole story here.

John Kerry and Judgment?

I love these comments from the guy that was "for it before I was against it".

"John McCain … has proven that he has been wrong about every judgment he's made about the war. Wrong about the Iraqis paying for the reconstruction, wrong about whether or not the oil would pay for it, wrong about Sunni and Shia violence through the years, wrong about the willingness of the Iraqis to stand up for themselves," Kerry, who supports Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Wasn't John McCain the one that wanted to change course in Iraq?  I think they are also finaly exporting more oil now than they were before Sadam was removed.  Doesn't that produce revenue, and isn't that revenue being distributed through an informal agreement?  Finaly, isn't all that revenue being used to rebuild the infrastructure?

Isn't the government and the military now standing up for themselves and almost completely in sole control of the situation?

Every time John Kerry speaks he provides us with so many wonderful reasons why the Democrats aren't fit for office.  This man was a major party candidate?  Hey Senator Kerry, denial aint just a river in Egypt.  What a bafoon.

More From VFF

Today's been my day to check out Vets For Freedom and look for updates.  That being said, I found this little love letter to General Clark regarding his comments about Senator McCain.

It was written the day after the comments.  So, he hadn't yet dug his hole even deeper.  It may be wise for him to start visiting Vets For Freedom and see what the men and women he once commanded think.

That's probably asking too much since most people in his command didn't respect him, and those of equal rank didn't trust him, and those of higher rank didn't like him.  It's funny what a simple google of his name will bring up.  As Medved likes to say, the "Weasely" one has issues.

Been Away for a Week

I know I've been away for a week but hey, you can't always control computer issues. To make a long story short, it started with a router issue, then the laptop crashed (curse you spyware!), then the desk top does the same (again, curse you spyware!).  Thank God for smart phones or I wouldn't have even been able to check my emails.

Now that I'm back in business, I should be able to post regular updates.

Fun Times Folks, Fun Times!

Ignorant Texans!

So, the Obama's think I'm a bigoted homophobe because I'm from Texas. Nice...

"It's not just about positions that you take. It's also about the leadership that you provide on these issues. Barack has the courage to talk to skeptical audiences, not just friendly ones. That's why he told a crowd at a rally in Texas that gays and lesbians deserve equality. And you can imagine in Texas that that crowd got a little quiet. But Barack said, and I quote now, he said, "I'm A Christian, and I praise Jesus every Sunday." And then the crowd starting cheering. And then he said, "I hear people saying things that I don't think are very Christian with respect to people who are gay and lesbian." And you know what? When he said that, the crowd kept cheering. That's why he told Evangelicals at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church that we need a renewed call to action on HIV and AIDS. That's why he went to Ebeneezer Baptist Church, and he said that we need to get over homophobia in the African-American community, that if we're honest with ourselves, we'll embrace our gay brothers and sisters instead of scourning them. And that's why he stood up in 2004 at the Democratic National Convention, and he told all of America that we refuse to be divided anymore. That's the choice in this election."

So, we need to just get over it and embrace the GLBT community, because we're all bigots. Then the only time we do applaud is when he starts talking about faith, because we all know that Southerners are ignorant and like Pennsylvanians we cling to guns and God and that's all we really know or can relate to. They just don't get it do they. I really have come to believe the Democrats are the party of the bigoted and close minded. How ignorant can one group be about an entire states demographic behavior? Problem is, Texas is part of the South and the rest of the South pretty much sees things the same way we do here. We're not a bunch of ignorant uneducated rednecks down here.

These are the things that thankfully will lose them the election.  Keep talking Michele, we love the hole you're digging for yourself.

Thanks to Hugh Hewitt last night for bringing this up and for the transcript. You can see the entire transcript and a video of what Barack said here.

Update - Just watched the video again. The crowd wasn't silent after all. In fact, there was quite a bit of applause when he made the GLBT comment. This is just Michele trying to stereo type Texans and from the way I see it, fearmonger for the end goal of getting more votes.
